Fishing the Charleston waters.
Georgetown is the closest city to the Santee Delta and Cape
Romain areas where there are 50 miles of unspoiled government protected lands and waterways, perfect for fishing adventures.
There are 5 rivers emptying into this brackish area making it perfect for fishing inside protected barrier islands.
This area is approximately 40 miles south of Myrtle Beach and 60 miles north of Charleston. The Cape Romain National Wildlife
Refuge offers wildlife and waterfowl sightings and is perfect for photo opportunities. You are likely to spot wild boar,
alligators, dolphins, bald eagles, otters, deer, foxes, osprey, egrets, herons, and other birds. Additionally, there are two
of the oldest lighthouses in the area. Fishing and boating tours are available
to the Cape Romain area which is not easily accessible to the general public since there are no roads or bridges to the mainland.
